Anonymous said: Nice concert pics on your other blog! Do you know what setting you used, ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed and any others I may have missed? I'm trying to break in and mine are so dark.
Oh thank you! And well I guess it depends on what camera you’re using. I use a Canon EOS Rebel T1i. The lighting that you’re shooting in should determine your shutter speed. I usually set my shutter speed fast and my ISO 1600-3200 because it’s a lot more convenient since I don’t use a tripod and at concerts the subjects are moving. I like my pictures to be dark and since a lot of concerts are dark I try to find a balance with my shutter speed. I make my shutter speed as fast as possible without my photos being too dark. If you’re having a problem with dark photos, just set your shutter speed slower to allow more light. A slower shutter speed has a larger number while a faster shutter speed would be a smaller number. I never really formally learned about the features on my camera. I’ve had a Canon Rebel DSLR for about 4 years and I learned to use it by playing around with it. So my advice is to give yourself time to play around with your camera and see which settings work best for the picture you’re going to take~
